My name is Sonia Voldseth. I am a life coach and counsellor. In my practice Counselling Queenstown I offer personal coaching, individual counselling and relationship counselling.

There are many practices to help deal with your depression as well as exercises that can help get to the bottom of why you feel depressed.
Low self-esteem affects many people and is directly tied to the negative feelings and judgments we hold about ourselves.
In therapy you will start to process your traumatic experience, in a safe and healthy way, so that you don’t needlessly suffer from it anymore.

I’ll give you actionable tools to help you let go, find meaning, and re-gain confidence and courage. I help people navigate through real life. Messy relationships, sucky jobs, heartbreak, trauma, and dreams you’ve forgotten.
We get so caught up in trying to do the right thing that we lose sight of what the right thing is for us. We try so hard not to mess up that we become paralysed – unable to move forward.
These times can be a catalyst. An invitation to step further into yourself. You can learn to show up differently. It’s not the easiest thing. It’s the hardest thing. But the moment to moment long term changes are so well worth it, you won’t regret you got started.

I will challenge you on the stories you tell yourself about who you are “supposed” to be and how you “should” act.
It is important to set out what you want to do and how you want to do it whilst working through any self sabotage patterns that may be present.
I will offer you honesty and understanding.
I will be your biggest supporter while we work together to heal the stuff that’s holding you back.
✓ Practical and Relevant Tools
I teach you how to regulate thoughts and emotion better and give you homework and tools for self-confidence and continued growth. I have some amazing tools to help you figure stuff out.
I will do my best to make sure you get breakthroughs and insights. This, of course, also requires your participation, hard work and willingness to look inward.
✓ Discretion and Confidentiality
Our sessions are confidential. The fact that you are a client at all is confidential. There is nothing to be ashamed of in seeing me but I also think it should remain private, and it does.
